They are even more special today, because only one family continues to weave the Patola! This green ensemble has repeating geometric motifs that haunt a viewer’s mind for days. True to Patola nature, the pallu ends in an elaborate pattern, different from what’s found on the rest of the body. Floral motifs on a sleek zari base across the end of the pallu give an illusory effect to this drape. In contrast, the field does not have a zari base glaring at you.
