This surreal Patola saree is gold. Quite literally! The sari has a gold zari base that reflects light off it as if showing off its splendour. This one has enigmatic semi-floral motifs repeating throughout its field. Like most other Patolas, there is a thick border running throughout the length of the saree, especially lining the end of the pallav. Motifs on this border are quite different from the rest of the saree and are set on a deeper red background. The pallav sports a huge peacock motif in its end, which you can show off when you sashay around with this amazing drape! Red and gold together impart a royal feel, much like what Queens wore back in the day.
