This beautiful Patola saree reminds us of a traditional Bengali saree with a hidden golden zari base! Like most other Patola sarees, the pallav has an amazing contrast at its end. Most of the saree’s field has a white background with repeating floral motifs throughout. Golden zari is seen in small butis spread across the recurring designs. Along with a broad red border along the entire length, golden zari draws itself in flower and leaf patterns at the end of the pallav. If you observe closely, there is something different about the pallav though! Along with floral patterns, it has motifs of several dancer figures in different poses! The subtle use of zari and innovative designs make this saree welcoming and wowing at the same time.
