This golden delight is a sight to behold. The gold zari work is so heavy on this saree that the red backdrop can’t be identified separately. In some places, the gold thread is woven in for a lighter cover, and that’s what gives out the faint orangish-red hue underneath the layer of zari. The pallav and the thick golden borders on each side have very subtle motifs, if any. The body has repeating Padma(lotus) motifs. The Padma motif is one of the sacred motifs found in Kanjeevaram. This saree might remind you of Rekha Ji, a well-known Kanjeevaram Aficionado!
